Privacy policy
Your memories stay yours
Last updated 1 November 2026.
Reminisce Road keeps photographs, recordings and the words people say about their own lives. We treat that as some of the most personal information there is. In short:
- We do not sell your information, and we do not show advertising.
- We do not track you across other websites or build a profile of you.
- We do not share what you say with anyone for their own purposes.
- We use a small number of services to run the product, listed below. They handle information only to do that job for us.
What we keep
Your account
Your name and email address, so you can sign in and so we can send you sign-in codes. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. If you belong to a family or an organisation, we keep which one, and your role in it.
Your photographs and conversations
The photographs you add, where they sit on your timeline, the recordings of your conversations, and the written record of what was said. These belong to the person who made them. They are kept so you and your family can listen back and read them later.
Payments
If you pay for Reminisce Road, our payment provider takes your card details. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of what was bought and when.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact page, we keep your name, email address, the setting you tell us about and your message, so we can reply.
Who helps us run it
These services process information on our behalf, only to provide the part of Reminisce Road named beside them:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, stores accounts, photographs and recordings, sends our emails, and checks that forms are filled in by people rather than automated programs.
- Google Gemini — holds the spoken conversation. The photograph and what is said are sent to it while a conversation is happening, so it can listen and reply.
- OpenRouter — looks at a photograph to write the first question about it.
- Stripe — takes payments.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google or bring photographs in from Google Photos.
- Sentry — tells us when something breaks and how quickly pages load. It is set up not to collect who you are, your cookies, the content of forms, or anything said in a conversation.
- Umami — counts page visits so we know which pages are used. It uses no cookies, does not identify you, and we strip record identifiers out of the page addresses it sees.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work. None are used for advertising or tracking.
- A sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in.
- A preference cookie that remembers how you like the product to look.
- A short-lived cookie, kept for one day, that limits the free sample conversation.
- If you arrive through a referral link from an organisation, a cookie that remembers that link for up to 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, photographs and conversations for as long as you have an account with us. Messages sent through the contact page are kept for as long as we need them to help you. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your photographs, recordings and conversations with it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it or ask us to stop. Write to us through the contact page and a person on the team will reply. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to how your memories are kept, we will tell you before it takes effect.
